Custom Cabinet Maker

Job Overview
We’re searching for an experienced custom cabinet maker with a meticulous eye for detail and artistry to join us in building high-end, innovative camper vans.

Job Detail

  • Selecting appropriate solid wood for face frames based on grain directions and characteristics
  • Milling face frames to dimension based on drawings
  • Milling dados to dimensions based on drawings
  • Milling domino slots for joining face frames
  • Gluing up of face frame ensuring assembly stays square and straight
  • Dry fit of cabinet case
  • Modifying anything necessary to ensure proper fit, dimensions, and squareness
  • Glueing of case
  • Assembling face frame to case
  • Sanding face frames flush to case
  • Routing edges as needed
  • Final sanding and prep for stain
  • Milling, mitering, gluing, and sanding of 1/8” thick door and drawer face edging
  • Tracking time spent on each job with provided iPad
  • Checking jobs off as they are completed on iPad
  • Notifying manager when tasks are running over schedule
  • Completing 9 hours of work/day
  • Keeping work area clean, sweeping and vacuuming daily
  • Emptying dust collector as needed
  • Disposing of scrap material after sheet has been cut
  • Disposing of cardboard and trash throughout the shop

Desired Experience

  • 3+ years relevant professional experience required
  • Custom cabinet building and assembly
  • Building solid wood face frames
  • Installing and aligning cabinet doors
  • Sanding

Required Equipment Experience:

  • Table saw
  • Miter saw
  • Routing table
  • Hand router
  • Typical woodworking tools
  • We will provide all necessary tools
